These just arrived - took the risk of ordering pants online, and it totally paid off! These are just long enough for me at 5'9", and the fit is actually true to size (have found most hiking pants are small, or feel a big snug in the hips, particularly when bending, squatting, and generally trying to get comfortable) - they actually fit so perfectly out of the box that I hope they don't stretch too much, or they may be loose (but the drawstring and built-in stretch should help with that). The stretch makes them SO comfortable - I can actually picture wearing these to a friend's place to hang out, sitting on the ground, travelling, etc. - which is almost unheard of for me in anything but a sweat or yoga pant. They are very well-cut for me, and have a modern look (bit lower rise, straight leg) without being trendy, so I think they should be good for a few years or longer as far as style goes. And the stitching and design details make them look like quality/high-end pants (which is very nice, considering that they are a little pricey). I am not normally a sporty dresser, but would be tempted to wear these out for casual events other than hiking, because they look quite nice (and are so comfy). I also appreciate the length of the short/capri when the legs are removed, since I will be using them for travel to an area where we have been advised to keep our shorts at least knee-length. I have seen lighter weight hiking pants for hot weather than these, but they are by no means heavy, and again, the comfy stretch fabric makes up for the fact that they are not the lightest of the lightweights...totally worth a try. I doubt there are many (any?) more comfortable pants like this, and few that would fit as well.Get more detail about prAna Women's Convertible Pant.
